Membership in the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington offers many benefits for arts organizations, artists and business professionals including access to the wide range of programs and services we offer.

Your membership is for one year from the time of application. Applications are taken any time during the year. There are four levels of membership:

Arts Organization/Cultural Institution

MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

Open to all 501(c)(3) arts organizations in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Annual membership dues are based on your organization's operating budget as reported through www.guidestar.org, and range from $150 to $7,350. Your membership is for one year from the time of application. Applications are taken any time during the year.

BENEFITS

  • Sell half-price day of show tickets and half-price advance tickets through TICKETPLACE, Washington region's ticket booth, and online at TICKETPLACE.org
  • Eligibility to join CultureCapital.com, the online guide to arts and culture in the greater Washington, D.C., region
  • Attend workshops covering a wide range of arts management and arts marketing topics
  • Qualify for a produced, 12-minute segment about your organization on The Arts Show & Tell, airing on community television stations throughout the region
  • For organizations with budgets up to $1 million, receive pro-bono professional services – ranging from accounting to strategic planning to marketing – from Business Volunteers for the Arts®/Washington consultants
  • Receive CAGW Enews, our monthly email newsletter that includes opportunities for regional arts organizations and invitations to events
  • Receive member discounts from Office Depot, GRC Direct, and PatronMail
  • Become eligible to participate in the CAGW Healthcare Program

Business Volunteers for the Arts Consultant

Business Volunteers for the Arts Consultant members provide professional guidance to arts managers and their boards on projects including financial and strategic planning, marketing, information technology, and other areas. The Business Volunteers for the Arts®/Washington program connects Washington, D.C. area emerging and small nonprofit arts and cultural organizations with business professionals who work as volunteer management consultants.

MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

Business Volunteers for the Arts Consultant members have a minimum of three years professional-level experience in their field. Your membership is for one year from the time of application. Applications are taken any time during the year. Annual membership fee: $90.

BENEFITS

  • Opportunities to engage in pro-bono consulting projects with the region's emerging, small, and mid-sized arts organizations
  • For new members, orientation at The Arts Club, including dinner
  • One ticket to the Arts and Business Celebration (valued at $50)
  • Complimentary tickets to performances at area venues throughout the year
  • Complimentary admission to special Cultural Alliance member receptions held throughout the year
  • Free subscription to our monthly CAGW Enews electronic newsletter
  • $40 of your $90 annual membership fee is considered a tax-deductible contribution to the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington

Individual
