TICKETPLACE PRIVACY POLICY

The Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington ("CAGW") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to the website of its program TICKETPLACE (the "Site"). Please read this policy to understand what personally identifiable information (PII) we collect, why we collect it, and how we use the PII we collect. Please know that we may amend this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use from time to time. Amendments will be posted on this Site under the tabs "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Use." If you continue to use the Site after an amendment is posted, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of that amendment. Therefore, you should review these terms of use each time you use our Site. If you do not want your PII to continue to be collected and used as provided in this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use this Site again.

This Privacy Policy applies only to PII collected on the Site and not to PII collected or obtained from other sources.

Information Collection and Use: The Site collects PII when you become a registered user of the Site and purchase tickets or other products or services. We utilize this PII to complete the purchase transaction and to communicate with you about your ticket order, ticket delivery or other inquiry.

The Site also collects information from your browser including browser type, browser version, browser settings, operating system, pages visited, your IP Address, and Cookies. We use this information for general purposes such as allowing you to add items to your shopping cart and ensuring that the Site continues to operate properly with commonly used operating systems and browsers. Your IP Address will be stored and used for security purposes to prevent fraud and other illegal activity.

Children's Privacy: The Site is neither intended for, nor directed to, nor to be accessed by, persons under the age of 13. We do not intend to collect PII from anyone we know to be under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you should not be using this Site or submitting any PII.

Information Sharing and Disclosure:
We will not sell or rent your PII to anyone. However, we may share your PII for the following uses:

  • Whenever you purchase tickets or admission to an event or venue, we may be required to share your PII with a third party credit card processor to facilitate completion of your transaction.

  • Also, when you purchase a ticket or admission to an event or venue, we may be contractually required to pass your PII to the organization or venue hosting the event ("Event Host") so that they may communicate with you about the event you are going to attend. Under those circumstances, we cannot offer you the option to opt-out from having your information passed to the Event Host.

  • Event Hosts are not subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy, which means that they may use your PII for purposes other than contacting you about the event you are going to attend, unless you contact them and request otherwise. When you purchase tickets to an event, you should read and become familiar with the privacy policies of the Event Host. The Company has no control over the use of your PII by any Event Host and you agree that we are not liable for any use of your PII by an Event Host. If you have special preferences concerning use of your personal information by an Event Host, you must communicate those preferences directly to them.

  • We may need to send PII about you to other companies or people in order to provide you with the products or services you've requested.

  • We may also send your PII to others when required to do so by law.

Mailing List: The mailing list is a list that may be used by CAGW and/or the organizations using TICKETplace to sell products and services. This mailing list may be used to inform you of upcoming events and/or special promotions. You have the option of opting out of the mailing list at anytime. CAGW will not send marketing or other solicitations to patrons that have chosen not to be included on the mailing list. Organizations using the Site to sell products or services are prohibited from sending marketing or other solicitations to those customers that have chosen not to be included on the mailing list. Regardless of whether you've opted out of the mailing list, CAGW and/or the organizations using the Site to sell tickets may contact you regarding important information related to an event you've already purchased tickets to. This may include important information such as an event cancellation, postponement, or relocation. It may also include a question or problem related to your order or payment. Season ticket holders may also be contacted regarding annual season ticket renewals regardless of whether or not they've chosen to be included on the mailing list.

Cookies: Cookies are small text files that are downloaded to your computer. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to identify you. Unless you've chosen to submit PII to the Site through registration or the purchase of products and/or services, the Site cannot identify you. Cookies are used by the Site to allow the smooth operation of the Site and to track your activity so that we may tailor the content of the Site to match your interests.
